Most people think that, like Architects, all drafting offices use only trained professionals. Unfortunately this is not the case, as many ‘draftsmen’ have little or no formal training.
At Global Design Studio, we feel this training is an essential requirement for quality design. Understanding the principles intrinsic to Architectural Design ensures that you not only have an aesthetically pleasing home, but more importantly that your home design is fundamentally sound. Many homes are poorly designed due to a lack of understanding of these basic design principles.
Global Design Studio uses only fully qualified professionals. Our lead designer holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology. This is not our backup profession after other pursuits didn’t work out. Our passion is designing beautiful & functional homes. It’s all we’ve ever done, it’s all we’ve ever wanted to do, and it’s why we got the right training to do it properly!
At Global Design Studio, we feel that experience means much more than simply the time we’ve spent in the industry. When we talk about experience, we’re referring to the experience we’ve gained.
We have more than 25 years of professional experience, including collaboration with International, Award Winning Architects on projects in Africa, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and the United States: truly a Global Design Studio.

In order to offer a premium design service we use premium design software that is more commonly found in Large Architectural Firms than in smaller drafting offices.
Known in the industry as BIM (Building Information Modelling), our state-of-the-art 3D Design software ensures you have the most accurate blueprints possible. In addition to creating 3D models of your design, it also allows us to provide services such as Shadow & Solar studies, Construction Phasing, Multiple Design Options, as well as Interactive 3D models and Photo-Realistic renderings.

A substantial part of the building code now relates to energy efficiency of buildings. New homes and renovations must meet the standards set out in the National Building Code of Canada.
